The Guardians

4×5 Large Format

Shot on film. The process is slow by design — the same patience that goes into the sculpture work goes into framing a negative.

About
Portrait

Made by hand,
held by the material

The work starts with what's already there — a piece of hardwood, a chunk of stone, a coil of wire rusting in the corner of the shop. The sculpture comes out of paying attention to that.

Based in Oklahoma City. Bachelor's in photography from New York. Two decades of working with my hands across sculpture, large format film, and the occasional welding project that got out of hand.

The Guardians series is ongoing. The Seekers started as a side experiment and took over a whole wall. Originals and prints available through the aka Studios Etsy shop.

Let's talk about the work.
